BEML Restricted, a Public Sector Endeavor, introduced on Tuesday that it has secured a contract from the Ministry of Defence for supplying a 50-ton trailer valued at Rs 83.51 crore.
This order highlights BEML’s energy and functionality in delivering superior, indigenous merchandise to reinforce India’s defence infrastructure, the corporate stated.
In a press release, BEML stated, “The 50-ton heavy-duty trailer is particularly designed for the transportation of battle tanks and options 12 twin wheels for sturdiness and stability in difficult terrains. With a payload capability of fifty tonne, the trailer is engineered to be towed by the BEML HMV 8×8 car.”
Notably, it consists of superior options similar to a steerable turntable for 55-degree rotation in each instructions, a twin-line air brake system, emergency brakes, and mechanically operated parking brakes, the assertion added.
In line with BEML, the rear chassis body is supplied with a mixture of fastened, hinged, and unfastened ramps to make sure the environment friendly loading of tanks.
